Wrapping up the Birthday celebrations/ teacher wardrobe...

Yesterday I ran with my dad before we all got breakfast at an Irish pub near campus. It was really nice to get to spend some time with my family and show them around my new school =)

Last night I went out to Long Beach to meet some new friends at Riley's on second street. I had the grilled artichoke and calamari which are delicious!!!!

My beer came with a hilarious coaster:

You just gotta love the most interesting man in the world.

I ended up wearing my birthday present from Spencer... More Wildfox! (Seriously, I might have a problem).

Spencer actually got me a lot of Wildfox stuff at the sample sale in June, but he has a "horrible" habit of not being able to wait until my actual birthday to give me my presents ;)

Anyways, I love love love this tank. The cassidy tanks just hang really nicely, and are perfect for showing off pretty lacy bras:

(Excuse the messy hair... I was studying for most of the day!)

You can find the tank on a ton of different websites still!!!

The cheapest I can find is on sale for $34.99 at Boutique to you but it's only available in a large (and they already run larger...)

You can also get it on these websites (all for 59 bucks):
Dolls Kill (you can watch a video of a model wearing it to see how it moves)
And at Revolve Clothing  (If you can find a cheaper price online that's not on clearance they will price match!!!)

Speaking of Wildfox...

HauteLook is having a sale THIS WEDNESDAY on Wildfox Couture!!!
If you don't already know... HauteLook is an online shopping website (owned by Nordstrom's, my go to department store) that has everything from big name brands (like VINTAGE CHANEL and FENDI tomorrow morning) and new brands that you'll learn to love for a fraction of the retain price. Seriously everything I get from them is usually over 50% off...

The website is totally FREE to join, you just need an invite!

I can't wait for Wednesday...

Unfortunately though I can't really wear Wildfox as a teacher. I've been trying to find outfits that will look professional as well as still look fashionable/age appropriate. Two days ago I got inspired by the Willow and Clay fall look book. The sweaters are absolutely gorgeous and I love their jackets and cardigans as well. I actually fell in love with their see-through beaded tops around this time last year. My favorite one that I own is black with silver beads and I wear it with the Chiyo top from Brandy Melville and Black pants and boots... black is such a happy color ;)

Anyways, can't wear see through tops to work... so I'm trying to decide which sweaters to buy... leave a comment if you have an opinion!

Here are my favorite items:

Personally the first sweater (black and white) is my FAVORITE and I think it is so spectacular, but I didn't see it on their website right now. I'm just going to keep trolling their website until it makes an appearance again...

You can see the rest of their lookbook here (highly recommended, they even have some hair chalk inspiration!!)

Let me know which sweaters you like best.

Birthday banaza

This weekend was my birthday weekend! I know I promised sample sale pictures but... my teacher let us out super late on Friday and I didn't make it =(

That experience will need to happen later on I guess. Darn.

Anyways, I still had enough planned ;) Mainly running around in my "birthday suit"...

Bikini: Wildfox Vintage Rainbow Bikini

I used my hair chalk that I got from Clare on Friday when I went to Disneyland really quickly...
I only colored the bottom layers of hair and I didn't do tooooo much because I was going to get all dressed up for dinner and needed my hair to be regular again in a few hours. It worked out extremely well! I'm thinking about doing a tutorial later on if anyone is interested?

Later on (after washing the rainbow out of my hair) I got all dressed up for Dinner with Spencer...

We went to a five course meal with wine pairing at Delius! The food was AMAZING. My favorites were the Roasted Garlic soup with Wild mushroom Ragout, the carrot risotto, and of course the ribs!!

That night we all went out to Fish in a Bottle, a sushi restaurant (of course).

The family:

My mom wanted to go to downtown disney afterwards, so Spencer and I ended back in the park...

Can we just take a moment...

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the pretty things that are coming from Balmain's Spring 2014 fashion show during this lovely Paris Fashion Week:

OH and the fact that Rosie Huntington-whiteley is back on the catwalk!!!

All is right in the world.

Libra season ❤️

School has been CRAZY BUSY but I'm loving every second of it!! I'm actually meeting my Master Teacher for the first time in an hour and I'm so excited!! I start student teaching this upcoming Monday! Ahh.

My professors have been packing in all of our assignments before we start student teaching, so I've basically just been doing project, after project, after project, after... well you get the picture.

Luckily, study breaks in Disneyland ain't no thang with an annual pass and just a ten min drive...

                  Ghost Galaxy is backkkkk
It's maybe just a little too loud outside (when you're waiting in line and the ghost tries to "escape"), but besides that this ride is awesome, intense, and I swear faster than the regular space mountain version.

Sweatshirt: Wildfox (Spencer got it for me at a sample sale and I don't see it on their website...but it's hooded and oh so soft)

We managed to catch the fireworks just in time too! They had just started so we just ducked under the rope and got a front row spot!

Halloween Time is my favorite time of year =)

Sweatshirt: Still Wildfox
Skirt: Zara in Rome, Italy
Boots: Brass Plum

Love this pumpkin tree.

So that was... Sunday. These pictures are out of order, whoops.

Before that! I was back in Long Beach studying away under the sun =)
If I didn't enjoy writing lesson plans so much I wouldn't have been able to focus but it all worked out perfectly.

Shades: Target? I got them for a themed party in college and could never give them up

Saturdays study break included a walk tooooo SUSHI. Nom nom noms.
Sushi on Fire is amazingly tasty, and conveniently located on 2nd street. Oh, and they give you free hot saki. Yeah. Thank goodness we can walk there. I love there Mr. and Mrs. Smith roll, the 911 roll, and ... I forgot the third one I really like... It'll hit me later.

They do have a lot of fried sushi, which some people like but I don't really get it. Sushi is sushi because it's not cooked... but whatever. Spencer got the Halloween roll for me because of the name but I ended up not liking it because its all tempura fish in the middle. Oh well it was visually appealing =)

Ok now for pictures from TODAY. Yes actually from today.

My birthday is on Saturday!!! WOOO HOOO
My girl Clare sent me presents early =) Temporary tattoos and HAIR CHALK!!! After I meet my master teacher I'm going to have unicorn hair ALL WEEKEND. I'm so excited, thank you so much Clare!!!

I also got my latest Ebay steal: A new wildfox tank that matches Spencer's tattoo =p

AND I AM SO EXCITED BECAUSE TOMORROW AFTER CLASS I'M GOING TO MY FIRST WILDFOX SAMPLE SALE EVER. I'll be getting there towards the end so I know it will be totally picked over already but OMG am I excited just to BE IN THE WAREHOUSE.

Videos, pictures and more will be up tomorrow!

xoxo,
a very excited and happy Kk

The ViperRoom

Sometimes, you just need some Kanye motivation...

Unpacking without having a dresser or a desk yet has been... Unpleasant. We also had to figure out getting a refrigerator because apparently apartments no longer come with them... Yeah. Weird.

My bathroom counter is pretty much about the only part of my place that is put together at all. Everything else is missing furniture and a mess... At least I have Internet now though.

Last night was an amazing night though! After a long, late night class, I speed walked home, and changed into my awesome new rocker outfit:

brandy Melville velvet crop top, black pants from the gap, and my doc martins.

When I got to long beach I discovered myyyyy WINNINGS!! Last week I was notified that I won a Great Gatsby sweepstakes put on by Warner Brothers. I won The Great Gatsby on DVD, blue-ray, and  3D! And it's signed by Baz himself! They also gave me The Departed, Blood Diamond, and Inception.

I was pretty stoked :) can't wait to watch it in 3D!!

I was wearing my rocker outfit becauseeee spencer, Lauren and I were going to see our pals The Golden Ghosts play at The Viper Room in Hollywood.

 Beware the Golden Ghosts....

Check out some of their music videos/live performances on youtube!

Riley (the singer/guitarist) is Spencer's older brother and we try to go to as many shows as we can. Check out their music on their web page:

They are amazing, a mix of The Rolling stones and "rocky raccoon".

Sticker overload in the bathroom!

And here are my loves, my doc martins. With Lauren's martini and my tequila sunrise❤ I stayed up until the actual sun rose, so I'm a little groggy today, but ready to do it all again next wed to start my bday celebrations!!!

One bday present came early... My first birch-box!! That means another beauty review coming your way ;)

Until then,
Ciao ciao

Friday the 13th double date

It's halloween time in Disneyland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Last Friday spencer and I headed over to Disneyland on Friday the 13th to celebrate the start of Halloween festivities in Disneyland :)

I wore a backless t from Victoria's Secret pink and grey jean leggings from brass plum.

                   What's up Jake?

Our first ride is my least favorite ride in the entire park. Seriously. I absolutely do not like elevators, and my fear started from the movie that this ride is based off of. Spencer had never been on it though so... I went... I survived... And I...

Got drinks at my favorite bar in the park right after :)

We may have gotten another dumbo...

Our friends met up with us later on to make it a double date. We got Mexican food in downtown Disney before heading back to the park.

Since it was Friday the 13th, 2013 and the park was staying open until the 13th hour (1am... Which really 13:00 is 1pm but whatever Disney) we planned on getting into the haunted mansion exactly at one o'clock....

It. Was. Awesome. They've redone the opening presentation and added a lot of 3d effects throughout the mansion! And the gingerbread house is to die for this year. It's a huge advent calendar house and Im definitely going during the countdown to Christmas to see what comes out.

Below are some romantic pictures of us (awwwww). I'm wearing my Wildfox skeleton fleece to keep with the Halloween theme ;)

On our way out we all got stuck after this crazy decided to drive into a fire hydrant:

The next day spencer and I went to Roe in long beach for some yummy oysters and spicy poke ❤❤❤❤

So much fish to eat nom nom nom.

I also wanted to share with you guys a cool way to help people around the world (for free!!). Johnson and Johnson is doing a program called "donate a photo". Download the app "donate a photo". Next, choose from A list of charities to donate to and then take a picture! For every picture you "donate", Johnson and Johnson will donate one dollar towards that charity of your choice, at no cost to you!

Then you can share them on your twitter or Facebook etc if you want to encourage your friends to do the same!

Here's the video:

And here's one of mine from last Friday (photo cred goes to spencer):
