Good bye Hawaiian city, hello Hawaiian country side

Ciao, ciao Honolulu! (I'll be back soon)

So we moved into our house last night, finally unpacked etc. annnnd I forgot to take pictures for you. Damn. Tomorrow, I promise.

I took a video to send to my friends but can't upload it for some reason (hopefully this is just because I'm using the phone app).

Anyways, were living amongst the locals and the difference is like night and day! I'm living for two and a half weeks in
Waimanalo, a super cute, little town that's mainly beach and mountains.

Here is my backyard:

Today was all about exploring the town, swimming, tanning, watching locals surf at a beach with extreme waves and tide pooling.

Underwater yoga...

Me in the center watching the pros take on big waves ;)

bikini top: Pualani
Bikini bottom: Victoria's Secret

I got fantastic Ono with mango salsa, salad and rice at Ono steaks, and then saw their shaved ice truck driving around the local beaches later. If your on Oahu ever, you must visit them. They are so unique with the food mixtures that they serve (and the price is unbelievable for the quality and quantity we got!)

Found some new friends tide pooling

"Kiss and ride drop off and pick up"

Back to my backyard beach for a sunset walk. Not as much fashion pics today... I've basically been running around in bikinis.

Aloha!!

So before I packed for Hawaii I went to the Martina McBride concert at Wente vineyards in Livermore, ca. Such a beautiful venue and AMAZING food and wine! Martina was also amazing , and had the greatest outfit and heels.
Here's my outfit for the evening...

Dress: As You Wish
Jacket: Blanc Noir
Necklace: opal handmade, need to ask the boy where he got it from.

Anyways I should have packed before, the wine was a little too good...

So many clothes to pack so little time...

Shoes: Betsey Johnson

Just the start...

I got in late last night and stayed at the Hyatt in Honolulu. The first thing I did was... You guessed it: got some Hawaiian sushi ❤

Next I bought this lovely pack of the Amazing Maui Babe

Seriously, if you can get your hands on some of this tanning lotion, take as much as you can. It gives the greatest tans ever and only in a few hours. ☀❤

I plan on buying more for my friends and I before I leave.

Today I got a fruit bowl at the hotel and spent the morning with some lovely Macaws before heading to the beach.

After a few hours of tanning, we went down to the shops where I found this gem:

It's a ring by Jungle Girl Jewelry, an entire shell turned into a ring. I'm in love to say the least. Click on the link above to go to their website if you're interested in finding some of your own mermaid pieces.

Next I headed over to the Moana surfrider. This resort is gorgeous! They also make amazing cocktails

Mmmmmmmmmmm

Dress: INC
Shades: Brass Plum

Tonight we moved into the house we're staying in for the rest of the trip. It's so lovely and beautiful but we got here so late, I want to take pictures in the morning.

I'm moving my stuff into my temporary room now, more adventures tomorrow!

Roadtrips! Disneyland, Sacramento, and Santa Cruz!

Back to LA again! My last road trip down was the first week of June. I went down for school related stuff but of course found myself in Disneyland...
Here's my comfy lonesome road trip outfit =)
Shirt: Wildfox Couture
Shorts and Boots: Brass Plum

The gang in Disneyland! I swapped Wildfox tees to pretend I was a mermaid while running around my favorite playground. Thank goodness they started selling Margaritas in California Adventure!

OH NO! Mermaid down!

Shades: Ray Bans

That next week I went up to Sacramento for a girls night with one of my favorite brides! I'm her MOH and we spent the night eating AMAZING Sushi at Tokyo Fro's (get the Godzilla roll!!).

Lace Top: Chole K
Cami: Brass Plum
Pants: GAP
Boots: Brass Plum

We may have gotten some drunken munchies at In-N-Out as well, Chandon and Crystal head for girls night is always the best choice.

Last Weekend the boy came up to Nor Cal, just in time to go to my friends new beach house in Santa Cruz. Huzzah! It started out being just 5 people and quickly turned into about 12 haha way more fun. We all started out with Saki Bombs and more sushi! (Surprise)

GIVE ME FISH!!!!

Anyways... sushi at Akiras with many a saki bomb, followed with beers and bon fires on the beach. The Fiesta raged on, so breakfast burritos were definitely in order in the morning. Santa Cruz is a meca for amazing food (I wonder why...) and if you're looking for an amazing breakfast burrito go to Chill Out! They also have this insanely awesome quesadilla with spinach and mushrooms and mmmmmm it was heaven. Then I would also highly recommend getting your favorite red wine and some Pleasure Pizza

Yeah, that weekend was mainly all about food.

And dranks, and tanning, and walks on the beach in hippie outfits.

Sweatshirt: Wildfox Couture
Dress: Forever 21

Where will I go next?? Actually... I'm already here ... and yes I've already gotten some sushi (and Maui Babe). I'm in Hawaii Y'all!!! Next post will be all about it!

Adios! Kk

Nor Cal to So Cal Road Trips

My second to last road trip down to LA was a fun one with my friend Natasha. I was going down for a Chardonnay run with my cousin in Santa Barbara then to visit people in Long Beach (and helplessly end up in Disneyland, as usual).

Instead of my solo drive down the 5, I picked up Tash and headed down the 101. We made a lot (a lot, a lot) of stops along the way! One of which was the Madonna Inn, a personal favorite =) (THEME! CRAZY THEMES!!)

We had the greatest Cesar Salad before splitting a slice of carrot cake (and had a million cups of coffee in between). The goblets at the table (see above) were so amazingly awesome that we each got one... and then got another for our friend that was letting us crash with her.

Shades: Ray Bans

Vegas!!!!

Ah Vegas.... the land of perpetual themes, dress up, and dancing. Naturally I'm in LOVE with it.

Here is the amazingly gorgeous view from the Cosmo room I was in one trip and a shot of the two story Chandelier bar I'm in love with. These were seriously the only three pictures I took, the more fun I'm having in Vegas the fewer pictures I return with haha

Until next time Vegas... until next time...

Happy New Year!

First of all my ultimate, favorite birthday present (second only to the trip to Palm Springs! Thanks love) is my PERFECTLY FUZZY, SOFT, WARM, PERFECT (Faux Fur)
Mink jacket by Dale Dressin.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh I love it so so so so so MUCH.

Obviously, I couldn't take it with me to Palm Springs (hellllllo heat) and since my bday is in September and I live in California... It doesn't really get cold here until January. CUE NEW YEARS SKI ADVENTURE!

I flew down to LA in the wee hours of the night and my adventure buddy and I decided to haul ass to the mountains immediately to meet up with our gang. So we got into Mammoth around 4am? The snowflakes were perfect on our windshield I couldn't resist taking a few pictures.

Anyways, I was taking some classes but everyone else was going boarding, so basically I did as much HW as I could each day in the ski lodge then just met up with everyone at the bar or restaurant as they came and went from their runs. Most of my skiing gear is at my cabin, so I made do with some random items and borrowed ski shoes (for a male 7 times my size). Hilarity ensued.

Jacket: Dale Dressin Shirt: GAP Scarf: LA Kings! Boots: unknown and 7 sizes too big

Heres one shot of the lodge and mountain.

Zack back in his happy place.

During the holidays, I usually splurdge on my favorite make up brand: Too Faced. Luckily they also have amazing deals and steals around this time of year ;) Sephora as well.

Here are some of the shots from the night!

Head band above is from nordstroms and below is J. Crew

All make up is Too Faced! I don't know if people want to know about the specific colors I can put them up if your interested.

Happy Birthday Spencer!!
Dress: Brass Plum, Shirt: Lily White

I was super cute in the cabin but my mini dress was no match for the snow (even with my super cute bow tights! Thanks mom!). So I threw back on my GAP pants, Kings scarf, and go to striped top for the bars and midnight kissin'!

The road trip back was an adventure as always. Spencer and I stopped at Mojave Red which has amazing brews and the people there are so friendly and amazing. We also stopped at some random desert stops along the way, making the drive longer as hoped for =)

Cheers,
Kk
