You're Handsome, I'm Handsome, WE ARE HANDSOME

Australia has stolen my heart. It all started with Tiny Tea and then I magically found Beginning Boutique. Next thing you know I'm scrolling through travel pictures and planning my fantasy vacation to Australia… *sigh*

The Mercedes-Benz Australian fashion week has been going on all week and I've found some new favorite designers I want to share with all of you. Since it's warming up quickly over here in Cali, let's start with the fabulous swimwear of We Are Handsome.

We Are Handsome has the most amazing prints for bikinis, one pieces, and cover ups. They stick to animal prints, jungle themes, or beach views. The first time I was introduced to them was through this flawless *cheeky* picture:

You've probably also seen Rihanna and other celebrities wearing their swimsuits on vacation:

This week though they took the animal prints to a whole new level. They had a live snake slithering around models next during the fashion show! Animals make any fashion show instantly more magical (see ETAM's show from 2011)

I absolutely love this blue floral tiger pattern

Their new collection "Tropic of Babylon" is available online and in stores now and includes swimsuits, coverups, dresses, leggings and more! See some shots from the collection below:

The country might be freezing, but I'm dreaming of a deserted island…

Something tells me Vogue and Wildfox are on the same page.  In this months Vogue Brazil, Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel makes rags and chili peppers look like the wardrobe of rainforest royalty.

Wildfox had a similar idea and did a look book for their spring collection based on the idea of girls being stranded on a deserted island as well. Here are some of the newly released images for the look book:

Sea shell crown… I'm thinking another crafty thursday post is in order…

One new thing about this look book (compared to other look books wildfox has done) is that they included recipes for meals and drinks inspired by the clothes and pictures! Wonderful idea!

Clare and I are getting these shirts as soon as they're available ;)

Im not sure how, but I actually already got this shirt from a seller on Ebay. I'm guessing the seller works in their warehouse? I got it a few months ago so you can guess how excited I was when I saw it in their look book.

(Note to self… time to start squating)

They've made a swimsuit with this pattern before but this season it's in a new cut.

I love this kaleidoscope geo shirt.

The weather might be getting a bit chilly this week (just a bit) but thanks to Vogue and Wildfox I'm already ready for Summer time.

Bunnies, butterflies, and booty: Wildfox Swim 2014

I may not have enjoyed the newest collection of clothing from Wildfox, but their new swim line has me falling in love all over again. The collection features a whimsical mix of roses, broken butterflies, flamingos, rainbows, seashells and more! The swim line continues the 70s vibe, but with more fairytale undertones that I personally can't get enough of. The butterfly bikini below is already on my future purchase list; I promised myself if I complete my first marathon, I'm ordering it immediately.

My marathon isn't until May, so I'll have plenty of time to save up! A few of the items have already been made available for purchase on the Wildfox website and the rest of them will be made available later this month. The look book (images below) featured the lovely Lisalla Montenegro and was shot by  the creative director for Wildfox: Kimberly Gordon. The head designer for Wildfox swim and intimates is the gorgeous Leilani Shimoda, pictured below with creative designer Kimberly Gordon in 2013:

Some of my favorite shots from the shoot are below, but you can view the entire look book online here
