The ViperRoom

Sometimes, you just need some Kanye motivation...

Unpacking without having a dresser or a desk yet has been... Unpleasant. We also had to figure out getting a refrigerator because apparently apartments no longer come with them... Yeah. Weird.

My bathroom counter is pretty much about the only part of my place that is put together at all. Everything else is missing furniture and a mess... At least I have Internet now though.

Last night was an amazing night though! After a long, late night class, I speed walked home, and changed into my awesome new rocker outfit:

brandy Melville velvet crop top, black pants from the gap, and my doc martins.

When I got to long beach I discovered myyyyy WINNINGS!! Last week I was notified that I won a Great Gatsby sweepstakes put on by Warner Brothers. I won The Great Gatsby on DVD, blue-ray, and  3D! And it's signed by Baz himself! They also gave me The Departed, Blood Diamond, and Inception.

I was pretty stoked :) can't wait to watch it in 3D!!

I was wearing my rocker outfit becauseeee spencer, Lauren and I were going to see our pals The Golden Ghosts play at The Viper Room in Hollywood.

 Beware the Golden Ghosts....

Check out some of their music videos/live performances on youtube!

Riley (the singer/guitarist) is Spencer's older brother and we try to go to as many shows as we can. Check out their music on their web page:

They are amazing, a mix of The Rolling stones and "rocky raccoon".

Sticker overload in the bathroom!

And here are my loves, my doc martins. With Lauren's martini and my tequila sunrise❤ I stayed up until the actual sun rose, so I'm a little groggy today, but ready to do it all again next wed to start my bday celebrations!!!

One bday present came early... My first birch-box!! That means another beauty review coming your way ;)

Until then,
Ciao ciao

Dinosaurs, Dolphins, and Dancing

Two days ago we started off the day at Kualoa Ranch. This ranch was originally a sugar plantation... Then became a cattle ranch/Air Force site/ movie site/your site. Much more profitable than trying to grow sugar in soil with a bunch of sand mixed in...

Here is one of the old sugar mills. They used lava stone, sand, coral, and mud to make the buildings and eventually took them apart to make different buildings.

Here in the main valley is where most of the movies are filmed, including Godzilla, 50 first dates, and this little number...

Wearing my Ariel tank from Wildfox, the Tank is no longer sold but the dress can be found at Bloomingdales

That is the log that everyone jumps over in the first Jurassic park movie before the t-Rex jumps out of those trees! Eep!

Above is one of godzillas footprints! There used to be ten in the valley but the cattle kept falling in so they filled them in except for four of them

...silly cows...

This mountain is considered sacred to Hawaiians, and the bones of Hawaiian royals are stored up in these caves. Hawaiians believed that the spirit of an individual continues on in the bones of the deceased. The mountain is still protected and no one is allowed to climb up or hike it.

Replicas of what an Hawaiian tribes huts would look like. One is fully built and the other is to show the beginning structure of their buildings.

Apparently this is the door from lost? It's also in the movie "Pearl Harbor" and was part of the old Air Force base here.

The "Biggest Loser" filmed an episode here. Contestants had to run to the tiki with their name on it and back.

The islands in the background are said to have been the end of a dragons tail that was cut off centuries ago and fell into the water. The bay to the right is also know as a breeding ground for these guys...

The hammer head shark! Don't worry, this guy is at the Sea Life Park ;)

Along with some other friends...

Baby sea turtle! Awwww

So many pictures!! Maybe the Luau should have its own post...
