One of my favorite things about NYFW is discovering new designers. One such designer that I became aware of this week was Clover Canyon.
Clover Canyon's Spring 2014 collection had an unpredictable twist on springs favorite pattern: floral. Instead of having organic patterns of lilies, or rose overload patterns, Clover Canyon mixed up the organic flowers with harsh geometric lines and angles.
My favorite pieces of theirs were the dresses that resembled the interior of a kaleidoscope. Warm pastels mixed elegantly with black and white patterns. And yes, there were some more flowers peeking through these kaleidoscopes as well.
I started digging into all their old collections once I found them and personally love the Russian ballerina theme they had for their Fall 2013 collection. The dresses maintain the kaleidoscope theme but in darker, romantic, colors. And the Ballerina slippers covered in swarovski crystals! To die for.
Here is a clip of the factory in LA working on the Fall collection:
I'm trying out all my new beauty purchases tonight! So the reviews will be up tonight or tomorrow.
Ciao Ciao
